International Pearl Design Contest Tokyo
"The 29th International Pearl Design Contest has been recently held with your generous co-operation. Price Winners were decided on April 10 after going through a rigid screening by 20 judges including Mr Koji Iwakura, chairman of the screening Comittee and British and Danish Ambassadresses.
This contest selects excellent pieces of work using the pearl as a material and aims at re-discovering the beauty of the pearl, and developing new designs as well as improving the skill of craftsmanship."
A total of 910 entries from 21 countries took part
in this years contest. Our entry "Medusa-Life in the sea"
was pre-selected for the finished work to be submitted
to the judges and was then awarded a Finalist.
